Connections

Several valued objects in the collection of the New Brunswick Museum arrived here as a result of fortuitous connections between New Brunswickers and others from elsewhere who were in a position to pass on significant works. The full stories of these connections are seldom recorded. One of the more complete stories tells us how two paintings, a print and several photographs that once belonged to the famous American artist John James Audubon came into the hands of the Price family of Saint John. The circumstances of their meeting remain a mystery.
