Mrs. E.H. Foster
In 1926 Mrs. E.H. Foster, through Miss Dorothy W. Purdy, gave these objects to the Natural History Society. The donation consists of these items from the Southern and Western United States and Native material from Western Canada.
Mrs. Foster’s identify has not yet been ascertained. In 1868 a Susanna Elizabeth Pattison married an Edward Henry Foster in Saint John County. In 1881 the couple seems to have been living in or near St. Martins where Edward was manager of Salmon River Mills. They must have been living in Saint John when Edward died in 1899. Susan Elizabeth died in 1919, which means that she could not have made a donation to the Natural History Society in 1926. Was there another Mrs. E.H. Foster with a connection to the United States and Western Canada?
