Usually for at least four months of the year, New Brunswick becomes a snowscape.
Extreme temperatures and precipitation can create wildly variable conditions for travel and leisure activities. However, the ice and snow that winter has to offer also provide a great setting that is necessary for skating, snowshoeing and skiing. Groups can participate in tobogganing and sleighing while teams pursue more competitive sports such as curling and hockey. Nothwithstanding the wind and storms, New Brunswickers manage to take full advantage of their winter heritage.
