Notes: Cedar Hill Cemetery consists of approximately four acres of land previously used as a dairy farm. Opening in 1792, this cemetery was known as the ‘Baptist and Wesleyan Burial Ground’. It was administered by a committee elected by various Baptist and Wesleyan congregations on the west side of Saint John. After additional land was acquired around 1880, the cemetery name was changed to Cedar Hill. An additional eight acres of land was acquired in 1922 and another forty acres was added ten years later. Cedar Hill Cemetery Company amalgamated in 1968 with the Greenwood Cemetery Company forming the Cedar Hill-Greenwood Cemetery Company.
