Ronald Paul: They called from Oromocto, Kingsclear, and down here, I couldn’t keep the people in beavers and muskrats. Just like in spring of the year when muskrat season opens up, they wanted muskrats. I used to handle Tom Brooks and people up here for muskrats. God! they’re big river rats. Then we’d have fifty/sixty of them in the freezer for the winter, maybe I’d have five or six beavers in there just to roast parts and steaks, liver…hell, livers are very best. Livers are big just like a calf liver, big…fried them.
