Mrs. Bernard: He’d rather do the baskets. He said he’d have to do so many baskets a day and then go to Fort Kent and all along people were waiting for them. Especially for the potato baskets and he’d sell a dozen, two dozen a day. I was lucky if I sold one a week.
Mme Bernard : Il préférait s’occuper de la vannerie. Il disait qu’il devait fabriquer tant de paniers par jour et ensuite aller à Fort Kent, car des gens les attendaient là-bas. Surtout les paniers à patates : il en vendait une douzaine, deux douzaines par jour. Moi, j’avais de la chance si j’en vendais un par semaine!
