Solitary on decaying log of Acer saccharum in a mature hardwood forest, Nipisiguit Protected Natural Area, New Brunswick (11-08-16/01).

Basidiospores broadly dacryoid, to ellipsoidal to subglobose, smooth, 6.1-7.7 X 4.7-6.2 µm, D/d = 1.14-1.35 (average[29]: 6.9 X 5.6 µm, D/d = 1.24). Pleurocystidia ventricose to lageniform, without apical hooks. Cheilocystidia ventricose to lageniform. Pileipellis a cutis of repent hyphae.
