Gymnopus foetidus (Bull.:Fr.) Murrill

Scattered on dead branches of Acer saccharum, Caledonia Gorge Protected Natural Area, New Brunswick (14-08-12/08).

Basidiospores 7.0-7.6 X 3.5-4.3 μm D/d = 1.73-2.00 (Av. 7.2 X 3.9 D/d = 1.86). Pileus and lamellar trama with clamp connections, gelatinous. Pileipellis of brown, encrusted, clamped hyphae forming a loose cutis. Subhymenium of brown, clamped, non-gelatinous hyphae.
