Gregarious on a dead conifer log, Caledonia Gorge Protected Natural Area, New Brunswick (22-08-12]02).

Pileus conic-convex at first, expanding to broadly convex at maturity, dry, glabrous, Greyish orange to Brownish orange (Methuen 5BC4), 15-29 mm in diameter. Stipe cylindrical, Orange white (5A2), white mycelial at the immediate base, glabrous, dry, 15-46 X 2.5-3.0 mm. Lamellae Pale yellow to Light yellow (4A3-4), becoming darker as the spores mature, close, adnate to subdecurrent. Flesh Yellowish white (4A2), lacking a distinctive odour, bitter.

Basidiospores 7.8-9.2 X 4.6-5.6 μm. D/d = 1.55-1.86).
