Gregarious in leaf litter in mixed forest of Acer saccharum, Betula alleghaniensis, B. papyrifera, Populus tremuloides and Abies balsamea, Nepisiguit Protected Natural Area, New Brunswick (16-08-16/05).

Basidiospores forming a pink spore print, subisodiametric, 5- to 6-sided, 8.0-10.2 X 6.0-7.8 μm, D/d = 1.15-1.43 (average: 8.9 X 6.9 μm, D/d = 1.28). Pileipellis a cutis with some minutely encrusted hyphae. Clamp connections abundant.

Recognized by its yellowish brown hygrophanous pileus and strongly farinaceous flesh.
