Cortinarius armillatus
Cortinarius armillatus (Fr.) Fr.
Scattered (several) in soil in mature forest of Picea rubens, associated with Betula alleghaniensis, Abies balsamea and Picea rubens, Campobello Island, New Brunswick (23-09-16/04).
Basidiospores 9.9-11.5 X 5.2-5.9 μm, D/d = 1.78-2.06 (average = 10.8 X 5.6 μm, D/d: 1.94). Cheilocystidia represented by a few narrow protruding hyphae or perhaps lacking.
